Aquarium is a quilt/quilted appliqué based on plants I used to have in my childhood aquarium. Always loved the beautiful free-flowing look of these plastic wonders. Asylum - SOLD 12/20/2024


What is asylum? Asylum can mean a few things… 1 is ‘a place or retreat or sanctuary’ and another is a place ‘offering shelter and support’ to people who are in need. The basic idea of a quilt encompasses both of these definitions in some way. A quilt can be a 'retreat or sanctuary’ and it can offer ‘shelter and support’. These concepts are important in our world today, and this is my artist way of offering these concepts to the world. Stay healthy, stay warm and stay beautiful!
